Seismic Upgrades

 

The B.C. government has a $1.5 billion program in place to make more than 700 public schools earthquake-safe by 2020. Work is being fast-tracked at 80 high-priority schools so students will be protected as soon as possible.

B.C. school districts are also encouraged to develop and maintain earthquake safety plans.
