In today's world, teachers need to be able to access high quality professional development and teaching tools at any time, from a central online location. Over the past few years an impressive collection of online materials have been produced or are under development, with more to come. These tools include:

Integrated Resource Packages: Prescribed Learning Outcomes for each subject area along with supporting materials. Newer IRPs include PowerPoint overviews and suggestions for classroom assessment.

Assessment Tools for Teachers: A range of assessment tools for teachers to use in the classroom. Early Numeracy Project: Tools to assess and support primary students in developing mathematical skills

Key Concepts in the Curriculum: Key Concepts derived from the current provincial curriculum for Mathematics K to 12 and English Language Arts K to 12.

The Ministry of Education has sponsored the development of two videos demonstrating the teaching of key concepts for mathematics. You will need to be signed up as an educator on LearnNowBC to access the videos.
