Help with DL – Teachers Working With Students

help with DLHere are two Distributed Learning Quizzes teachers can use with their students to determine if distributed learning is for them. Learning online or through distributed learning is different from learning in a regular classroom. One thing that students notice right away is that there may be more reading and writing than in a classroom because that is the primary way of communicating with others online.

Before students sign up for an online or distributed learning course, it’s important that they determine whether or not they are likely to be successful in this learning environment. To help you with this, we have two quizzes you can use by yourself or with your students to help them determine what it takes to learn in an online/distributed learning setting and what kind of supports they will need to be successful.

The first quiz helps to determine if a student has the required technology skills, especially access to and a level of comfort with computers. Take the quiz.

The second quiz helps students identify if they have the requisite learning preferences, attitudes and work habits. Take the quiz.
